Am I, Me?

Was I supposed to be like this?
Cause when I look behind,
Almost six years down the time-line,
When I knew not what lay behind all the pinkness
When I was quite a sweet lil miss.
Now i don't even reckon this new me.
I am more open to this world now,
But I have lost all my sanity.
I have almost everything one yearns for,
Yet I long for my innocence.
I am stuck forever in this murky world I have created,
Forever doomed to be alone in this mess.
I seek a blue sky with a rainbow cast.
But all I can see is the shadow of my dark past.
As black and evil can it get,
I fear within this I shall have my last breathe.
But I would never stop praying for a new day,
A new hope and light to guide me in the right way.
As for now I slink back to my world underground,
I keep my hopes up that one day my prayers will sound.
